Sync Blackberry Address Book Entries with Google Contacts

Believe it or not, there are 2 different methods for keeping your Google Contacts in synchronization with your Blackberry.

BIS Contact Sync with Google Contacts

As of the Blackberry Internet Service 2.8 launch, whenever you add an "@gmail.com", or a domain that is hosted at Google through their Hosted Web Applications, you will be greeted by the following screen:

However, as you can see above, I have crossed out the "Contacts" because, based on experience, you should not be using this feature, YET.  The reason for this is because RIM has not perfected their field mapping with Google.

Addresses

If you enter the following on Google:

It will actually look like this on your Blackberry:

As you can see, instead of separating the items into Address/City/State/Zip, the BIS Contact Sync puts the entire address on the 'Address 1' field.  It is believed by the Blackberry fandom community that this will be fixed with the launch of BIS 3.0 on, or around, March 21st, 2010.

Google Sync with Google Contacts

Since the Google Sync software was designed and optimized by Google to specifically work with the Blackberry, it is currently much more stabler and easier to use:
